University Leadership Program (SEED Romania – Success in Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development Program) is an initiative born as a natural continuation of the entrepreneurial education programs run for ten years by the Romanian-American Foundation (RAF) in universities. Corporate partners Orange Romania and Banca Comercială Română have also joined the program.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

The program’s objective is to support leaders of universities focused on entrepreneurship programs by providing practical insights to help stimulate growth and add value to the institutions they lead. Participants gain a better understanding of how to balance their actions, experiments and creativity through a profound insight into the fundamentals of the business sector and a rigorous analysis of how to face challenges and adapt to change.

For three years, the University Leadership Program will work with approximately 20 universities in Romania, creating a professional network of university leaders who will be better prepared to make the changes needed to provide future students with the skills required to meet the demands of the future labour market.

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

The program consists of two modules, supported by leading American universities: the first module, Babson College Entrepreneurial Leadership Bootcamp – September 2022, followed by the Harvard University Leadership Program – March 2023.

The new University Leadership program is a continuation of a joint effort by universities, Romanian-American Foundation and the business sector to provide specialized training opportunities for students. Previous programs have paved the way for these types of interventions, and universities have understood the value of gathering more information about how they can align within the local ecosystem to bring in new partners while strategically growing outward.
